Introduction

Exact Online users who want to link external business applications benefit from a structured approach. This process consists of four steps: analysis of the external application, analysis of the Exact Online setup, execution of the link and implementation. A well-planned integration prevents risks and ensures efficient cooperation between different systems.

In addition, it is determined what data is relevant for the integration and how this data can be processed in Exact Online in a structured way. Exact Online has an API developed by Exact with a limited number of endpoints. To enable more flexible and extensive linking, the Clickker API can be used. This offers around 400 endpoints and is suitable for both Exact Online and Exact Globe. When an external application does not have an API, synchronisation via FTP, CSV or XML can offer a fallback option. However, this may mean that real-time synchronisation is not feasible.
